Helen Farley-Jones

I am very fortunate to know Helen.
She is a good friend, we sing together in our church choir. She is not only a lovely gal but an amazingly talented singer-songwriter. I offered to photograph her to my benefit really, and she kindly agreed to be experimented on. So we set up a photoshoot and I had the chance to try out my Lasolite background stand and the white background I have to go with it. I posed her in front of our huge patio door which has white curtains. It was a day when the sun sometimes was out and shun right in, so then I drew the curtain to control the light more efficiently. I used my 580EX flash for fill and also a retractable flexible reflector stand with the 80mm reversible reflector, since I do not have the luxury of assitance on hand.
I love h
igh-key photography. The white background with the even natural light provided a great basis. Helen is very beautiful and the camera just loves her. I enjoy postprocessing her pictures, it is very rewarding. She liked the results, too, they will feature on her brand new website, which I am really pleased about.
Check out her website and listen to her songs! They are truly inspiring.
